Elderberry has been used for centuries to fight colds & flu!

Ednberry premium elderberry syrup kits are made locally on a small family farm here in Waukesha, Wisconsin.  Choose from three different flavors: Cinnamon Spice (Original), Cherry Echinacea, or Blueberry Lavender!

Each kit contains a certified organic blend of Elderberry and Aronia berry, ready to brew in its own 100% natural cotton brew pouch. You can easily make the most delicious elderberry syrup, without having to track down all of the certified organic ingredients yourself.

The only thing you need to add is water and honey (or your preferred sweetener) - this allows you to sweeten the syrup to your own liking, using whichever sweetener you prefer. We recommend raw, local honey for its additional health properties; however, other sweeteners can be used, including maple syrup, stevia, erythritol, or agave.

Each kit makes approximately 32 ounces of elderberry syrup.

Which flavor should I pick? Tough question! This is largely personal preference, however... Cherry Echinacea is the overwhelming first choice among kids, followed by Blueberry Lavender; but Cinnamon Spice (Original) provides the most health benefits and is pretty tasty in its own right!

Cinnamon Spice (Original) Ingredients: Certified organic elderberries, certified organic aronia berries, certified organic rose hips, certified organic ginger root, certified organic cinnamon, certified organic cloves.

Cherry Echinacea Ingredients: Certified Organic elderberries, certified organic aronia berries, certified organic cherries, certified organic echinacea, certified organic sunflower oil.

  • Elderberry Soda - (start with 8 oz glass of ice and fill with bubbly water & 1 tbsp Ednberry)
  • Yogurt
  • Salad dressing
  • Ice cream
  • Oatmeal
  • Smoothies
  • Teas - great with Earl Grey or Chamomile
What are the cold/flu benefits of elderberry? + -

European medicine has used both Elderberry and Aronia berries for at least 1000 years while Native American medicine goes back even further. Both Elderberry and Aronia are known for having very high levels of antioxidants. However, not all antioxidants have the same effect in the human body. It is the specific combinations of flavonoids, anthocyanins and polyphenols in Elderberry and Aronia that clinical studies have shown beneficial and speed recovery. Ednberry is very effective. We encourage discussion with your trusted healthcare professional or physician.

What are the health benefits of elderberry? + -

Elderberry is rich in nutrients, fatty acids, organic acids, minerals, vitamins and essential oils.  It was found in recent years that it appears to have antibacterial, antiviral, antidepressant, antitumor and hypoglycemic properties, also may reduce body fat and lipid concentration. Due to its health-promoting and sensory properties it is used in the food and pharmaceutical industry.

How are these different from "gummies"? + -

1 teaspoon Ednberry syrup = 40 to 60 typical gummies

Most gummy servings only contain 50mg of Elderberry/Aronia, but 2000mg of sugars! Even makers of "Extra Strength Gummies" fall very short of the Elderberry necessary for efficacy. If gummies are required for a child to enjoy the benefits of Elderberry, we encourage taking a few moments to make your own refrigerated gummies using beef gelatin.

Is Ednberry Organic? + -

Yes, organic ingredients certification by Pro-Cert, EKOAGROS, Quality Assurance International, and Organic Certifiers.

Why is it called Ednberry? + -

Ednberry is more than just elderberry! Ednberry is a handcrafted blend of highly antioxidant ingredients. Each ingredient of each kit or syrup is individually measured to ensure Ednberry's efficacy and flavor.  As listed above, elderberry benefits have been described for centuries. Aronia berry is a more expensive and more powerful berry. In fact, it is so powerful that it is better known as "chokeberry" because of it's tartness and astringency. However, when blended with elderberry in just the right proportions the two team up to take on a completely fruitful bouquet and flavor.

I want to have a one-year supply for one adult, how much should I order? + -

If you take the recommended prophylaxis (preventative) serving for an adult of 1 Tablespoon/day. Each prepared Ednberry kit would last 1 adult approximately 2 months. Therefore, a 1 year supply at that consumption rate would be 6 boxes per adult.

Keep in mind, the recommended adult serving while battling a cold is 3 Tablespoons/day and for influenza it is an entire 32 oz of prepared Ednberry in sips beginning as soon as liquids don’t come back up.

Calculating all of these factors, 7 to 8 boxes should cover 1 adult for a year.

Is there a diabetic friendly sweetener that works well with Ednberry syrup? + -

If you like the 1/3 cup honey flavor, try using 3/4 cup of erythritol. As always, check with your doctor before making dietary changes.

How long is a box of Ednberry good for? + -

We recommend preparing your kit within a year for maximum flavor profile. If they are kept in a cool dry place for few years there should be no problem benefit-wise and at worst they may lose a little of the fabulous flavor.

What is the recommended usage of Ednberry? + -

Many published medical journal studies have recommended the amount for efficacy of elderberry anthocyanins, when clinically studied for mitigating colds or Respiratory Syncytial Viruses (RSV) to be 110mg; and 3.5 grams for flu. These adult amounts can be found in 3 tablespoons or an entire 32oz. of prepared Ednberry syrup, respectively.  We recommend taking Ednberry prophylactically at 1 Tbsp/day for an adult and 1 Tsp/day for a child

(*As a reminder, do not give raw honey to a child under the age of 1 year).
