Swimming Pool Water
One of the most important times of the year to pay special attention to your pool is in the fall. Opening of your pool in the spring time can be much easier with a few very easy steps this time of the year.
Prior to adding any winterizing chemicals first clean your pool thoroughly by vacuuming the bottom and brushing down the walls. Remove any excess floating debris as any organic material left in the pool will provide nutrients for algae to grow in the spring time.
Balance your pH and raise your chlorine level a little higher than normal. Add one quart of Orb-3 PRA and Enzymes Maintenance per 10,000 gallons of pool water. Mix the recommended dosage with a bucket of pool water and pour evenly around the surface of the pool.
Run the filter as you would normally allowing the Orb-3 product to circulate throughout the water. Don’t be alarmed if your water should become cloudy as this is a sign the product is working.
Even though the pool water temperature may drop significantly over the winter, the active ingredients in Orb-3 PRA and Enzymes effectively targets the reduction of two main nutrients in the water: phosphates & Nitrogen.
By naturally and safely reducing these constituents there will be far less incidence of algae growth in the spring. The pool water will tend to balance out faster because of the carry over effect of the Orb-3 product and pool opening will be far easier than normal.
